Taller than Niagara Falls, twice as wide with 275 cascades spread in a horseshoe shape over nearly two miles of the Iguazu River, Iguazú Falls are the result of a volcanic eruption which left yet another large crack in the earth. During the rainy season of November - March, the rate of flow of water going over the falls may reach 450,000 cubic feet (12,750 cubic m) per second. These matter of fact details do nothing to describe the grandeur and beauty of the falls, the tropical location and the tremendous amount of water (an average of 553 cubic feet per second) thundering down 269 feet. They are best seen from the Argentine side, where the visit takes you through 3 different levels with many wonderful views. Your Package Includes:
Note that in order to properly enjoy the Falls and see the huge National Park, a 2-night excursion from Buenos Aires is recommended.Add 2 more nights and make it an Ecological Wildlife Adventure! Visit a Natural Wildlife Reserve Lodge situated in the Misiones subtropical forest, near Iguazu. Activities include evening walks through the jungle, birdwatching, canoeing, all with expert guides. Thanks to new flight schedules, you can now combine Iguazu with El Calafate (visiting the Glaciers) Mendoza, Salta or Bariloche to create a wonderful Argentina vacation! Consider these combinations:
