El Calafate Glaciers EL CALAFATE & GLACIERS NATIONAL PARK
Close-up of one of the amazing glaciers.

The quiet and sleepy town of El Calafate is the perfect departing point for exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Glaciers National Park.  The acquamarine clear waters of the Lago Argentino that surrounds El Calafate give it beauty and peaceful charm.  One could easily spend 5 or 6 nights exploring the region but a minimum 3-night stay is recommended, per below:

Your Glaciers Excursion Includes:

§         Welcome and transfer to your hotel

§         3 nights accommodations with daily breakfast (choose hotel category)

§         Day Excursion with bilingual guide to Glaciers National Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 356 breathtaking glaciers, of which Perito Moreno is the most extraordinary). This excursion is partly on foot; you will have time to walk on the ramps built across from the glacier from where you will be able to enjoy a variety of breathtaking sights and many photo moments!

§         Day Excursion with bilingual guide to the port of Puerto Banderas to sail on a catamaran towards the tallest glacier in the National Park, Spegazzini Glacier.  You will have breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains and the many icebergs on Lago Argentino from the catamaran.  This excursion also sails to the northern side of Perito Moreno Glacier, for one of the most incredibly beautiful sights mother Nature has to offer!

§         Transfer from hotel to airport

Thanks to new flight schedules, you can now combine Calafate with Ushuaia, Iguazu, Mendoza, Salta or Bariloche to create a wonderful Argentina vacation!

Combine this excursion with a Mare Australis Cruise that departs from Ushuaia and includes sailing to the "end of the world", visiting Cabo Hornos, Bahia Wulaia, Isla Magallanes (to see the Penguins!) and disembark in Punta Arenas, Chile.

Please inquire for pricing including airfare from Buenos Aires.
